I have several automations setup for when I wake up, got to bed, etc. Those automations stopped working. I've restarted all devices (unplugged and plugged back in) turned off router and wifi modem to reset, deleted and redownloaded apps to my iOS phone and even retried to recreate automations and nothing has worked. Using my bedtime automation as an example:
Starter: When I say "Goodnight"
Actions:
1. Turn off a series of lights through Hue
2. Adjust media volume (for device I spoke to)
3. Tell me next days weather
4. Tell me about first calender event
5. Ask about alarm.
The automation will respond, turn off my lights but then not continue with any of the audible steps. Each part will respond if I ask individually on any device but doesn't continue as part of the automation. If I say goodnight, the automation will turn off lights, not continue, I'll ask a question like, "what time is it?" and then the automation will continue the rest of the series after it answers the questions sometimes as it should and sometimes with a response of "please try again later." I'm not sure what else to try.

Me too! Very frustrating

Yup, me too. I have an automation that wakes me up and plays some music. It works about 50% of the time. Else it says 'something went wrong'. The behaviour persists when I manually run the automation from in the Google Home app. My Google Home Mini is on firmware version 468348. I have tried factory resets and restarts on the Mini and my router to no avail.
Some people say that turning of IPv6 helped; others say otherwise—I have it disabled. See Reddit. This seems to be a long running issue. Google Nest Community. It's getting quite frustrating.
