I’ve seen this posted previously but did not understand what the remedy is. My wired cam is showing up as battery powered and is now out of power. Was the camera wired incorrectly or is there a switch on the camera that needs to be flipped?

We've had a battery-powered camera for almost 4 years now, plugged in from the beginning with the 10-meter optional power cable, and the battery has never needed charging.
Is your power cable seated firmly in the bottom of the camera with the power cable feeding towards the FRONT of the camera (as it should)? (At least, that's the way it is for the battery camera.)
When you go to Settings | Battery in the Google Home app, does your camera show as "Plugged in" with an infinity symbol (as it should)?
For the floodlight camera, if it is on a switched circuit, that switch has to be on all the time.

Sorry - I should have been more clear. My cam is not battery powered but wired. However, it’s showing up as battery powered in the app and it’s run out of power. Is this a wiring issue or is there some switch on the camera that needs flipping? Thanks.

The camera used on the floodlight camera fixture is actually the battery camera, the same camera we have.
There is no switch on the camera. If your floodlight camera is on a switched circuit, the switch on that circuit should always be turned on, and I believe it should have been turned on at the time of your installation (just like our battery camera had to be plugged in at the time of the install).
Is the USB plug seated firmly in the bottom of the camera and screwed in securely? Is the USB plug undamaged?
