I have a Nest Cam Indoor 1st Gen which I am trying to re-add to my Google home but it keeps getting stuck on this screen:
Resetting camera
This camera was paired previously and needs to be reset before it can be paired again. Wait and retry in 20 s.
I wait and then retry, it finds the camera, connects to WiFi but then comes again to the same screen and I can’t get past it. I have no way of removing this camera as I can’t see it in my Google Home. There is also no factory reset button on these cameras. How do I resolve this?

Unfortunately, Google Nest does not provide a good alternative for older cameras that were set up in the Google Nest app. This is all that they say:

And unfortunately, Google Nest's install process has no way of recognizing that YOU are the previous owner.

Hi @asembler,
Thanks for reaching out here in the community! I understand you're encountering trouble when trying to re-add your Google Nest Cam Indoor (1st gen) to the Google Home app. It's stuck on the reset message from a previous pairing, and I know it's frustrating when you can't remove it in the Google Home app because the camera isn't even listed, and there's no physical reset button. Help's here!
For the first-generation models, initial setup is via the Nest app. For these models, removing them from your Nest account effectively factory resets the device. For reference, see this article: Restart or factory reset Nest camera or doorbell.
To help me look into this further, did you attempt to remove the camera via the Nest app rather than the Google Home app?
I also appreciate your input, @MplsCustomer.
Please keep me posted.
Best regards,
Jenniffer
