Every now and again the humidity reading shows up, but I can't detect any pattern.

Now it's back working again: perhaps you have to leave the Google Home app looking at the sensor until the sensor sends it next update (and if you've configured the sensor to make the battery last, that could be a couple of hours).

I spoke too soon when I said mine was showing the humidity readings: after a couple of hours it stopped, and it is now back to always showing the "Humidity Unavailable" message.

Surprise, surprise - it has now started working properly, giving both temperature and humidity. (Only three hours after my previous post.)

Me too! No use to me without humidity readings.
